How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored on our patient management database.
We keep it in accordance with The SMA’s guidelines on data retention as follows:
· 7 years post your last treatment from our practice for adults. An adult is a person over 18 years of age.
· Up to the age of 21 for children – assuming the last treatment was prior to the child’s eighteenth birthday (i.e. for 3 years after the child reaches their eighteenth birthday)
· If there are mental issues information may need to be kept longer or indefinitely but for at least three years after you are certified to have regained mental capacity. We will then dispose your information by deleting our records.
